-Artist Alley set-up: This year we arrived a bit late so we only had just under an hour to set-up. This was totally our fault. But when we arrived to get our badges and be shown to the table, they had actually run out of badges and we had to wait to get ours. This was the first year that happened. Luckily there were enough chairs for everyone and there was AC in the alley which was a problem in previous years.
-Staff helpfulness: The staff was polite and followed the rules. I'm always happy with the con staff as they occasionally come by and ask how you're doing and will bring you cold water on request which is a nice perk.
-Convention vibe: This year had a great vibe, there were many people so there was always traffic at the table except for lunch-time. It seemed like everyone was having a lot of fun.
-Worth it: Yes
-Comments: Overall this year was the best CPAC yet. It may be only one day but it has been steadily growing and receiving a lot of praise over the years. This year had a record number of 2,000 attendees. I rarely hear about any drama happening at the con as well which is a great thing. Not to mention it is run entirely by the students of the college who are all passionate and quite capable of running the event. This year was also great in terms of guests, Crispin Freeman and Awkward Zombie were there which was awesome. The campus is small but there are plenty of things to do around the con like going to the bakery run by the Cake Boss. There's also a dance party at the end of the con and cosplay chess. Plus the attendees are usually willing to spend some money since the event is so inexpensive and is only for one day. Perhaps future CPAC events will be extended to 2 days.
